An author of the textbook Practical Colonoscopy, Dr. Aisenberg completed his bachelor's degree at Harvard College and his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. He served an internship and residency in internal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Aisenberg is a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association and of the American College of Physicians. He co-founded and currently serves as President of the Digestive Diseases Research Foundation, an independent, not for profit 501c3 organization that funds outstanding young investigators in the field of digestive disease medicine.
