Dr. Daniel Adler consistently rates among America’s top gastroenterologists according to the Consumers Research Council of America. With over 30 years of experience diagnosing and treating the spectrum of gastrointestinal illnesses, Dr. Adler leads NYGA’s 52nd Street office, which is located in the heart of Midtown.
Dr. Adler is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine and has served as Medical Director of the Endoscopy Center of New York for the past seven years. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a member of the American College of Gastroenterology.He has received numerous awards, including:
- The Upjohn Achievement Award for outstanding medical resident
- The Glaxo Fellowship Award for outstanding original research
- The John O. Vieta, MD Memorial Award at Lenox Hill Hospital for academic excellence and personal achievement.
Dr. Adler received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Johns Hopkins University and his Doctor of Medicine degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his residency in internal medicine, where he served as Chief Medical Resident, as well as his fellowship in gastroenterology at The Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Adler receives referrals from throughout the Tri-state area, and applies his engineering background and vast clinical experience to the complex technical problems encountered in gastroenterology and endoscopy practice. An expert in colonoscopy, he also offers highly effective infrared coagulation treatment for hemorrhoid bleeding—performing this safe and minimally invasive procedure in his outpatient office.
