Breath Testing

During breath testing, we simply ask you to eat a specific food, and then capture your exhaled breath in an airtight bag for laboratory analysis. How you digest food determines how much of a particular molecule you exhale. Breath testing is most commonly used to diagnose lactose (milk) intolerance. It can also help characterize the “irritable bowel syndrome” or “spastic colon,” and food intolerances. Once we establish your problem, we can help you eliminate troubling gas, bloating, intestinal cramps, and diarrhea.
